Let's get Cooking......

Yesterday was a Cookery Book kind of day. I don’t know whether it’s due to the return of the GBBO and Great British Menu but yesterday I made 5 Personalised Recipe Books and 1 Wine Journal. These were gifts for Nanny, a house mate, two friends, a wife and a husband and each one had a different front cover and personalised message.

I’d been working on these during the week but I set myself the personal challenge of getting them all finished yesterday - with a treat of a nice glass of wine and a few pages of a good book as my reward. Oh my poor fingers after all that sewing! You would have thought they’d have toughened up by now but Coptic Stitch is hard on the digits.

These recipe books (and wine journal!) are now all boxed up and will be posted first thing tomorrow, making their way to various places in the world - London, Dublin, Bournemouth, California, Indiana and Sydney. When I started making books I never dreamed they would be so well travelled!
